Currently we have (3) recycling sites throughout the County which consist of:

Each site collects office paper, clear, brown and green glass, newspaper, magazines, aluminum, plastics #1 and #2 and broken-down cardboard.

Citizen Efforts
Citizen's efforts are the backbone of Nassau County's Recycling Program. Thanks to public awareness and participation in a variety of areas, the amount of garbage going into the landfill is constantly being reduced. Local non-profit organizations and their clients have received benefits that would not otherwise be possible.
